Meridians Winds: School Service Representative
Comments: Meridian Winds is seeking employment for a full time school service representative. This role works with schools throughout Michigan primarily band directors/educators/administrators. It will also require picking up/dropping off instrument repairs, products, orders and minor emergency repairs needed onsite; prior repair experience is not necessary training will be provided. Responsibilities -Maintain and build relationships with school clients to support their rental and repair service needs. -Provide rental program information and arrange instrument fitting sessions for students. -Provide general estimates for instruments that require repair. -Perform minor repairs on site. -Travel 3 days a week to call on Band Directors and Administrators to pick up band instruments for repair and deliver repaired instruments. -Discuss with school specific instruments to identify what is wrong with the instruments and create repair tickets for estimating. -Deliver repair tickets to the store for estimating repair costs by repair technicians. -Communicate repair estimates to customers on behalf of technicians. Organize incoming and outgoing instruments to keep workflow orderly. -Work within a timetable to ensure that repaired instruments are delivered to customers within the estimated time. -Work with store management to optimize the store Rental Program. Qualifications: Experience in school music programs either as an Educator, Administrator, or as a School Service Representative for woodwind, brasswind and percussion band instruments. Preferred candidates will have experience from an accredited repair school or comparable on-the-job training. Must be able to lift at least 30 lbs. Must be able to drive for extended periods of time. Should be able to do minor instrument repairs on-site, or willing to be trained to do so. Should be an effective communicator. Strong organizational skills required.
